Ego and ambition are two very different motivators.

Ambition makes us move on. Ambitious individuals can never have enough, which leads them to push their limits and achieve their best.

Narcissists look for excuses while ambitious people find news challenges.

Narcissists despise other people while ambitions people want to mobilize them.

Narcissists are vulnerable when their self-esteem is threatened while ambitious people are motivated when their goal is threatened.

Ego fuels a sense of self-aggrandizement, ambition gives a sense of purpose.
