Book Review: “Free: The Future Of A Radical Price” By Chris Anderson (2009, 288 Pages)
Internet years are even shorter than dog years.
When he wrote this book, Chris Anderson was the editor-in-chief of WIRED. He now is the cofounder and CEO of 3DRobotics, a company that develops personal drones.
“Free” addresses how business models are radically changing in the digital world.
When it was published, “Free” was a seminal book. But it came out five years ago. Internet years being even shorter than dog years, this is a very long time. Still, it is always interesting to read an influential book a few years after it was popular.
In this case, many of the concepts laid out by Chris Anderson are now taken for granted. That doesn’t prevent the book from providing interesting analyses and business cases.
