Book Review: “Conversations On Leadership: Wisdom From Global Management Gurus” By Lan Liu (2010, 272 Pages)
A partially missed opportunity.
Lan Liu is a researcher at Peking University’s Center for China Strategic Studies and adjunct professor at the Beijing Peter F. Drucker Academy, where he teaches leadership courses on their executive programs.
In “Conversations On Leadership: Wisdom From Global Management Gurus,” he interviews thirteen of the world’s most influential thinkers on leadership.
The project initiated by Lan Liu was a unique opportunity to collect in-depth views of most of the world’s best thinkers on leadership. However, the questions asked by Lan Liu are not always worthy of the opportunity.
Even if I learnt a lot reading this book, I still had the impression that I could have learnt far more if the interviews had been less superficial.
RATING: C.
