“Light This Candle” will ignite your passion for space.

This book is a biography of America’s first astronaut.

Thompson takes a no-nonsense approach to his subject. He addresses the complexities of Shepard’s character and explains technical details in layman terms.

Though not brilliantly written, “Light This Candle” is very informative and very comprehensive in covering all aspects of Shepard’s life.
