What Can Your Employees Be Proud About?

iClarified has published the email that Tim Cook just sent to Apple employees.

Its conclusion deserves to be noted:

“People love Apple products, which means they love the work you do. The knowledge that you’ve done something great for someone else is a powerful reward — one which I hope you feel during the holiday season and throughout the year. There’s nothing else quite like it.“

Of course, all companies do not offer as attractive and popular products as Apple’s.

But, every manager should ask themselves by year-end what their employees can be proud about. Pride will be one of their employees’ most powerful driver to continue to give their best.

There is indeed no greater motivation than the sense of participating in a cause bigger than oneself.
